Wesley “Wes” C. Cooper has returned to Wheatly, Weeks, Lupton, Newton & Nobles focusing his practice on real estate, contracts, real property matters, wills and probate, as well as business formation and operations and general transactional work. Wes is a graduate of Campbell University and Mississippi College School of Law and began his legal career in Mississippi in 2009 handling complex commercial construction litigation matters and government contracting disputes. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2012 and entered private practice concentrating on maritime and admiralty matters, personal injury, and general civil litigation. This broad legal experience enables Wes to provide clients with a global perspective to best meet their current needs while anticipating future implications.
In addition to over a decade of private law practice, Wes has extensive experience as a small business owner and entrepreneur in both the private and public sectors. Prior to law school, Wes served in the United States Marines Corps.
Wes is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Eastern District of North Carolina Federal District Court, North Carolina State Courts as well as Mississippi Federal District and State Courts.
